We received some amazing news on 13th August 2026 that our application for a grant of £20,000 from Awards for All (National Lottery) had been granted. We are very grateful for this grant as it gives us stability to continue supporting those in need in our town.

In August we found out that our charity had been selected as one of 22 charities for the Sky Bet Ebor Community Sweepstake at York Races on Saturday 22nd August. Rick and Kim went on Thursday 20th August to represent our charity when the draw was made. After a little bit of confusion we ended up with the favourite "Love Me Tender"!!! We recently received a grant from the Lords Feoffees of the Manor of Bridlington which enabled us to reupholster the chairs at the cafe. We are very grateful for this donation, the new covering matches our decor and is a welcome addition to our surroundings.

On Wednesday 8th October 2025 an intrepid group from the Kingfisher Cafe went by coach to support Robert Cousins our Volunteer Cafe Manager at the Time 2 Volunteer Awards 2025 ceremony at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Hull - 400 people attended the event.
